what do you see deep within
when you look at me?
Am I full of emptiness?
Do you see His holiness?
Can you see a light?
Lord, I try so hard to be the one You want me to be
But I find the harder that I try the harder it gets
Please shine through me
What do you see in me?
Do you see His life in me?
The life He saved, the love He gave
the new life He's made in me
Tell me, what do you see?
Remembering the life He lived
and all the love He had to give
Love that never failed
Do you see His love in me
or my human frailty?
Can't you see I'm weak?
Oh Lord, I try so hard to love the way You love
But the more I try to give Your love the more I hold it back
Show Your love through me
What do you see in me?
Do you see His life in me?
The life He saved, the love He gave
the love living in me
Tell me what do you see?

I
often wonder what people are thinking when they see me, what
kind of impression am I'm making? Do they see a brave
Christian warrior, shining the light of Christ? Or do they see a
terrified child, searching for his Savior's hand? Do they
see a humble Christ-like servant, or a selfish sinner? Am I a
good witness to the love of Jesus, or do I forget who He is and
what He's done? Am I the person He intended me to be? Do
people see the real me? |
