cry yourself to sleep

Wandering comforters at a loss for words trying to offer any kind of peace So you smile and cry, and you break inside Nothing can hold your heart together
Days find weeks turning into months ... and you smile like yesterday and the day before
Don't tell me you're alright
when I can see the broken tears in
your eyes
You say that you'll be fine
but we both know you cry yourself to
sleep at night
So many words of hope, then you're there alone left to remember how it used to be
Then you slip away as you lose the days you can't make it on your own
You find the hole cutting through your heart ... and you climb into the darkness to escape the light
Don't tell me you're alright
when I can see the broken tears in
your eyes
You say that you'll be fine
but we both know you cry yourself to
sleep at night _____
Know that you're not alone
I have been where you are
There is peace and rest
if you give your pain to Jesus
_____
I know you'll be alright
now I see the tears of joy in your
eyes
Love has come again like before holding you all through the night
1 Peter 5:6-7

Losing someone you love is devastating, but don't
lose those who are still alive just because you're closing
yourself off to the world. |
